Steep Showdown

A proper tea duel. Dunk for a count of five, hold your nerve, and be the last to eat your biscuit cleanly.

Choose your opponent

The dunk

On the referee's call, hold to lower your biscuit. At least 75% of it must stay under the tea for a count of five. Let it rise above the line and the count starts again.

The hold

Biscuits are held with two fingers only. The soggier your biscuit, the sooner it gives way. Watch it droop, crack and drip.

The victory

The winner is the last person to eat the whole biscuit cleanly. If yours breaks or falls, you lose. Eat too early and your rival can outlast you.

Conduct

One elbow on the table is allowed and steadies the biscuit. A second elbow is not allowed. Using gravity is strictly forbidden.

Rules adapted from the Cogs & Corsets tea dueling rules.
